Embedded System Design for temperature controlled Electrical Appliances Automation and Control Using Microcontroller
The main components used is microcontroller, LCD, temperature sensor LM35 and relay to operates the Ac appliances .In this project we presented a micro controller based temperature controller, a low power and high performance 8051 microcontroller (AT89C52) is used to control the LCD and devices according to the temperature value. It consists of the sensor which measures the temperature of its surrounding and communicates that data to the microcontroller. In determining current temperature and set threshold temperature (set by the user at initial ) such that when the current temperature is low than the threshold value then controller operates the relay to turn ON the device like heater to increase the temperature and vice versa to maintain the temperature constant. Relay cannot operate directly through the microcontroller, an isolator and amplifier is used as a relay driver circuit.

Embedded System using 8051 Microcontroller
Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. An embedded system is called an embedded system because it is embedded in or is a part of much complex and complete device that comprises hardware, moveable and mechanical parts. They are basically microcontroller to work with ‘applications as a resulted output. A microcontroller is a device with its own memory (RAM, ROM) and many more features added to it such as UART, Interupts and Timer etc, which make it superior to the microprocessors.

Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI)
This is a process of stemming or creating integrated circuits by combing several thousands of transistors together on a single chip. VLSI stands for very large scale integration which in short has a purpose of integrating several numbers of semiconductors on a single chip. There are various VLSI technologies used as 45nm, 65nm. They have been named so depending on the length of the gate used in the transistors. A microprocessor is also a VLSI device. Structured VLSI design is a modular methodology originated just with an aim of saving microchip area by minimizing the interconnection area.

Embedded System using PIC microcontroller
Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. PIC family is advancement over 8051. PIC is faster than 8051 and the biggest difference is that PIC is a microcontroller whereas 8051 is a processor. Many types of electronic projects can be constructed easily with the PIC family of microprocessors, as clocks, very simple video games, robots, and many more. It is code efficient and based on RISC. The PIC is a very general purpose microcontroller with ADC, counter, Built in oscillator with selectable speeds Wide range of interfaces including SPI, USB, USART, A/D, programmable comparators, PWM
