An 8bit VLSI Digital Driver Design for ADC and Its Implementation using CPLD chip to Measure the Alcohol PPM Quantity.
This project is an Alcohol sensing system that checks the level of alcohol in surrounding and gives an audible alert if it is increased from a certain level. To accomplish this we have used Altera Corporation MAX II EPM240T100C5 CPLD. The MAX II EPM240T100C5 non-volatile CPLD is based on a 0.18-micrometer, 6-layer-metal-flash process, with densities from 240 logic elements (LEs) and non-volatile storage of 8 Kbits. The benefit of using MAX II is that it is In-circuit system programmable (ISP) i.e. it can be reprogrammed using ISP Programmer after modifying the code. In this project CPLD is the main part, which is used to check the level of the alcohol using an alcohol sensor MQ-3 and giving a alert if the level will be increased a certain limits. The multi segments are used to display the level of the alcohol content and a buzzer is used for audible alert.
