Project Description

This project is a vehicle safety system in which we can control vehicles engine. It is useful when in case the driver accidently sleeps or losses his focus due to fatigue during a long drive, for the initial time only a buzzer will beep to alert the driver and in worse condition the engine will be automatically stopped. A camera will be placed near the driver eye, which will be interfaced with the PC. The MATLAB will be used to detect a human eye using image processing of the live video, and in case of the eye blink or eye shut, a count will be generated and if it reaches certain time period, a signal to the microcontroller will be send via serial port of the PC which will beep the buzzer, and if in case time is further increased the signal to stop the engine will be send via serial port to the MCU.

    Embedded System using 8051 Microcontroller

Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. An embedded system is called an embedded system because it is embedded in or is a part of much complex and complete device that comprises hardware, moveable and mechanical parts. They are basically microcontroller to work with ‘applications as a resulted output. A microcontroller is a device with its own memory (RAM, ROM) and many more features added to it such as UART, Interupts and Timer etc, which make it superior to the microprocessors.

Advance version of combo of two most vetern embedded systems i.e. PIC and 8051 together. They both have various advantages. The PIC is a very general purpose microcontroller with ADC, counter, Built in oscillator with selectable speeds Wide range of interfaces including SPI, USB, USART, AD, programmable comparators, PWM has been used with the advantages of the 8-bit 8051 microcontroller

Matlab Basics and Image Processing And GUI Development

Image processing usually refers to digital image processing, but optical and analog also are possible. image processing is any form of signal processing for which the input is an image, such as a photograph or video frame; the output of image processing may be either an image or a set of characteristics or parameters related to the image. MATLAB allows you to deal easily with images and video, audio then any other software. Graphical user interface (GUI) is an application provided by MATLAB, with help of which bank end and front end work is simplified. It is a graphical interface between the user and the coder. Algorithm development is central to image processing and computer vision because each situation is unique, and good solutions require multiple design iterations. GUI provides a comprehensive environment to gain insight into your image and video data, develop algorithms, and explore implementation tradeoffs. It is having easy introduction to images. It is used in form making, p

    Embedded Systems & Robotics

Embedded Robotics the most popular technology that introduces advanced technologies and solutions for emerging embedded applications, including digital consumer electronics, automotive, wireless/ubiquitous computing and factory automation. Embedded System are ever more capable engineering systems that we all use in our daily lives, ranging from applications in mobile telephones to washing machines, cars to airplanes. This programme brings both fields together to provide multidisciplinary skills with employment potential in a wide range of areas. Embedded systems are used widely over simple robotics because of its advantages and wireless medium transmission. Embedded robotics is a field in which mechanical, software; power is used to run a system
