Project Description

Authentication merely ensures that the individual is who he or she claims to be, but says nothing about the access rights of the individual. Thumb scanner is one such authentication system .The main objective of the project is to develop an “Attendance System” using microcontroller and process of telemetry. It will act as a security system to any office, home or banks. When the valid user places the thumb over the scanner the thumb print will be compared with the one stored inside the PC and if the scan matches, the door to the room opens. The data is sent to internet through the GPRS. The communication between the GPRS and the internet is done through internet of things (IoT).

    Embedded System using 8051 Microcontroller

Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. An embedded system is called an embedded system because it is embedded in or is a part of much complex and complete device that comprises hardware, moveable and mechanical parts. They are basically microcontroller to work with ‘applications as a resulted output. A microcontroller is a device with its own memory (RAM, ROM) and many more features added to it such as UART, Interupts and Timer etc, which make it superior to the microprocessors.

Advance version of combo of two most vetern embedded systems i.e. PIC and 8051 together. They both have various advantages. The PIC is a very general purpose microcontroller with ADC, counter, Built in oscillator with selectable speeds Wide range of interfaces including SPI, USB, USART, AD, programmable comparators, PWM has been used with the advantages of the 8-bit 8051 microcontroller

    Embedded Systems & Robotics

Embedded Robotics the most popular technology that introduces advanced technologies and solutions for emerging embedded applications, including digital consumer electronics, automotive, wireless/ubiquitous computing and factory automation. Embedded System are ever more capable engineering systems that we all use in our daily lives, ranging from applications in mobile telephones to washing machines, cars to airplanes. This programme brings both fields together to provide multidisciplinary skills with employment potential in a wide range of areas. Embedded systems are used widely over simple robotics because of its advantages and wireless medium transmission. Embedded robotics is a field in which mechanical, software; power is used to run a system

    Embedded System using ARDUINO

Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. “ARDUNIO” most widely used technique of embedded systems. An Arduino is an assembled board of Atmel 8-bit AVR microcontroller with additional components to facilitate programming. An important aspect of the Arduino is the standardized way in which the connectors are exposed, providing a facility to the CPU board to get connected to a variety of interchangeable add-on modules known as shields. The hardware consists of an open-source hardware board designed around an 8-bit Atmel AVR microcontroller. The software consists of a standard programming language compiler and a boot loader that executes on the microcontroller.

Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. “AVR”enlarged technique of embedded systems. It is an 8-bitRISC single chip microcontroller which was developed in 1996. The AVR was one of the first microcontroller families to use on-chip flash memory for program storage, used by other microcontrollers at the time. It has many enlightening features as there is added an EEPROM to store data over a power off time. An internal oscillator and an internal power on reset make the AVR working without any other components, watchdog.
