The aim of the project is to develop irrigation system by continuously monitoring the soil moisture level on the field. The main components used in this project are microcontroller, LCD, switch pad, motor, and moisture measuring strips. The user can enter the desired moisture level through switch pad. Whenever the moisture value reached at the limit enter by the user then the controller automatically sends a message “PUMP OFF” to the authorized person by using GSM module and turn the motor OFF. If the value becomes below the limit then it will sends the message “PUMP ON” and turn the motor ON. There is a LCD connected to system which displays the status of the motor.
