Project Description

Garbage and recycling pickup work is physically demanding and it exposes workers to a number of occupational hazards. This project as name implies is designed to fulfill the task of collecting garbage from certain places and then dispose it at a single place from where the garbage could then be taken for disposal or process of recycling. The application of this project can be hostel premises where this system can be employed and the garbage from each room is collected in the bins and then this garbage can be disposed in a larger bin, where the garbage of the whole hostel is collected. This saves time and also reduces manual labor and occupational hazards can be prevented. Garbage collection is said to be one of the most dangerous jobs. The job hazards include broken glass and odors so foul that they can make one physically sick. Implying this project for the collection of garbage can prevent such on-the-job hazards. The garbage collector is designed using microcontroller as its central component. Microcontroller interfaces all the other hardware components

    Embedded System using 8051 Microcontroller

Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. An embedded system is called an embedded system because it is embedded in or is a part of much complex and complete device that comprises hardware, moveable and mechanical parts. They are basically microcontroller to work with ‘applications as a resulted output. A microcontroller is a device with its own memory (RAM, ROM) and many more features added to it such as UART, Interupts and Timer etc, which make it superior to the microprocessors.

Advance version of combo of two most vetern embedded systems i.e. PIC and 8051 together. They both have various advantages. The PIC is a very general purpose microcontroller with ADC, counter, Built in oscillator with selectable speeds Wide range of interfaces including SPI, USB, USART, AD, programmable comparators, PWM has been used with the advantages of the 8-bit 8051 microcontroller

    Industrial Automation

The word “Industrial automation” implies automatically working organizations, which make use programmable logic controllers (PLC). Process control is a branched statistics and engineering discipline that deals with various controlling methods of output for a specific industrial automated process (architecture, controlling). It was a replacement invented the systems that required numbers of timers; relays etc and increase the cost also. PLCs are a combine package of multiple inputs and outputs, operating under various temperature ranges, even have immunity to noise. As the enhancements made year and year over, sequential relay control, motion control, process control, distributed control systems and networking are included into PLC. The main difference from other computers is that PLCs operate in industrial environments and have multiple (I/O) terminals; those connect the PLC to sensors and actuators. PLCs measure, continuously varied analog input process variables (P, T), and outputs t

Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. “AVR”enlarged technique of embedded systems. It is an 8-bitRISC single chip microcontroller which was developed in 1996. The AVR was one of the first microcontroller families to use on-chip flash memory for program storage, used by other microcontrollers at the time. It has many enlightening features as there is added an EEPROM to store data over a power off time. An internal oscillator and an internal power on reset make the AVR working without any other components, watchdog.
