Automation means automating the products so that they can be controlled without any wired connections. Automation at homes is done to improve the living standards and can also be helpful for disabled persons. The project is about wireless sensor networks that are automated using internet of things. This project aims to have a check on the security of house and also access the home appliances globally. The main component for the interfacing of the elements is the microcontroller. Power supply as usual is employed for providing supply to the entire circuit. A LCD is used that is for displaying the outputs. For accessing the components an isolation circuit and amplification circuit is used that controls the devices of the house. Gas sensor, Humidity sensor and temperature sensors are used that detects the gas leakage, records the humidity and the temperature of the home and keeps on sending it to the microcontroller which continuously updates the status on the internet using GPRS device that is connected to the microcontroller. This GPRS device further sends the information to the internet without any wired connection through internet of things.

Embedded System using 8051 Microcontroller
Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. An embedded system is called an embedded system because it is embedded in or is a part of much complex and complete device that comprises hardware, moveable and mechanical parts. They are basically microcontroller to work with ‘applications as a resulted output. A microcontroller is a device with its own memory (RAM, ROM) and many more features added to it such as UART, Interupts and Timer etc, which make it superior to the microprocessors.

Advance version of combo of two most vetern embedded systems i.e. PIC and 8051 together. They both have various advantages. The PIC is a very general purpose microcontroller with ADC, counter, Built in oscillator with selectable speeds Wide range of interfaces including SPI, USB, USART, AD, programmable comparators, PWM has been used with the advantages of the 8-bit 8051 microcontroller

Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI)
This is a process of stemming or creating integrated circuits by combing several thousands of transistors together on a single chip. VLSI stands for very large scale integration which in short has a purpose of integrating several numbers of semiconductors on a single chip. There are various VLSI technologies used as 45nm, 65nm. They have been named so depending on the length of the gate used in the transistors. A microprocessor is also a VLSI device. Structured VLSI design is a modular methodology originated just with an aim of saving microchip area by minimizing the interconnection area.

Embedded System using ARDUINO
Embedded system is basically a combination of hardware with software. Embedded system basically is a computer system that is designed to pull off a few or one specific function, more often than not in real-time computing constraints. “ARDUNIO” most widely used technique of embedded systems. An Arduino is an assembled board of Atmel 8-bit AVR microcontroller with additional components to facilitate programming. An important aspect of the Arduino is the standardized way in which the connectors are exposed, providing a facility to the CPU board to get connected to a variety of interchangeable add-on modules known as shields. The hardware consists of an open-source hardware board designed around an 8-bit Atmel AVR microcontroller. The software consists of a standard programming language compiler and a boot loader that executes on the microcontroller.

It is an 8-bitRISC single chip microcontroller which was developed in 1996. The AVR was one of the first microcontroller families to use on-chip flash memory for program storage, used by other microcontrollers at the time. It has many enlightening features as there is added an EEPROM to store data over a power off time. An internal oscillator and an internal power on reset make the AVR working without any other components, watchdog.
