Project Description

The main goal of this project is to design a lifting mechanism through a combination of hydraulic and pneumatic system. This system is used to lift the heavy body with a fewer efforts. The main components used in this project are hydraulic cylinder, air cylinder, foot pump, solenoid valve and power supply. The pump is connected to the air cylinder through a pipe. And the air pump is further connected to hydraulic cylinder. The wooden plate fitted with hydraulic cylinder on which lifted body is placed. When the pump paddle is pressed it starts filling the air in the air cylinder. These air cylinder further starts filling the fluid into the hydraulic cylinder. As the fluid in the hydraulic pump starts filling it can lift the heavy body placed on it. The solenoid valve connected to the air cylinder to release the air pressure. The solenoid valve is powered ON/OFF through the switch. When the power of the solenoid valve will be ON by pressing the switch then air pressure releases though solenoid valve and lift come back to initial position. The power supply section is used to power the solenoid valve.
