Project Description

The aim of this project is to generate electricity from speed breakers. A large amount of energy is wasted at the speed breakers through friction, every time a vehicle passes over it. So electricity can be generated using the vehicle weight (potential energy) as input. The main of component used in this project are dynamo, belt, mechanical model of the speed breaker and led’s for the indication of the generation of the electricity. When a vehicle passes over the speed breaker it produces the rotational motion which is transferred to dynamo through belt. Electricity generated by dynamo can be stored in a battery. This is indicating by led’s connected to the dynamo. With the generation of the electricity the led’s starts glowing.
