PC based three Phase Motor speed and direction control system using PWM Drive and monitoring over SCADA.
In this project we are using PLC, SCADA and DRIVES. PLC is used to do the whole process according to our programming. DRIVES will control the speed of motor and direction of motor according to our programming or you can say according to the input coming from PLC. In this project SCADA is communicated with PLC programming with the help of RSlinx classic software so we can control the motor direction using SCADA. In SCADA we take three switches to start & stop motor and third switch is to change the direction of the motor. We use keyboard keys to control the motor’s speed and direction. We can select any keys from our keyboard. This can be possible with the help of SCADA.

Industrial Automation
The word “Industrial automation” implies automatically working organizations, which make use programmable logic controllers (PLC). Process control is a branched statistics and engineering discipline that deals with various controlling methods of output for a specific industrial automated process (architecture, controlling). It was a replacement invented the systems that required numbers of timers; relays etc and increase the cost also. PLCs are a combine package of multiple inputs and outputs, operating under various temperature ranges, even have immunity to noise. As the enhancements made year and year over, sequential relay control, motion control, process control, distributed control systems and networking are included into PLC. The main difference from other computers is that PLCs operate in industrial environments and have multiple (I/O) terminals; those connect the PLC to sensors and actuators. PLCs measure, continuously varied analog input process variables (P, T), and outputs t
